Help Me Grow(HMG) is a program model conceived to assist families who may have concerns or want to learn more about their child’s development. As an organized community resource system, we help children thrive by providing access to health care, quality early learning experiences, healthy nutrition, and parent support. HMG utilizes 2-1-1, a centralized telephone access point that links young children’s families with support services. Florida has been an affiliate of the HMG National Center since 2012, serving 31 of the 67 Florida Counties, now including Bay, Calhoun, Gulf, Holmes, Jackson, and Washington Counties. Core components of HMG have been shown to build family resilience, lower medical costs, and to maximize efficiencies of social service networks.
We value building collaboration among community programs, providing a centralized access point for information & referral, promoting surveillance & screenings, as well as educating & informing the community about available resources
Florida will have a comprehensive system to support the optimal health, development, and well-being of all children
Our mission is to promote healthy development for every child in our state and for every child to receive routine developmental screenings
